Kennedy Meadows is a very small town. There is a general store that serves as a hangout for all of the hikers are gearing up to start the Sierras. The store lets hikers camp out in their backyard and that is where I stayed last night. I ate the rest of my food for breakfast and then went down to the store where they were serving breakfast. It was a tough decision, but I ended up eating their breakfast too. Shortly after that, Janel showed up! It was great to see her again. We went to the store and got our packages. We somehow ended up with eight packages this time. One of them contained a much needed new shirt. We also received a care package from my parents and a care package from my aunt Ann. Janel’s mom also sent us some goodies, and Janel got cards from her grandparents. Thank you all for thinking of us! We really appreciate the gifts.
