Yay for water! It is more plentiful. We each started off with *gasp* only 1 liter! We made it to our first alpine lake today, Chicken Spring Lake. It was a peaceful lake. We the entered in to Sequoia National Park. We also had our first creek crossing. I was showing Alan how it’s done…It was a flop for me! I fell right in! I was knee deep in water. After Alan finished taking a video of my slick moves, he walked right through the creek. Now we both could be in soggy shoes and socks. Then the real fun began. First we felt drops of rain. It then changed to a snow-hail mixture. Finally it began to thunder and lightening. We decided it was a good time to set up our tent for an early evening. It was a good choice. It ended up raining for a few hours.
