We woke up to another cold morning. We climbed up 1000′ feet to the Bullfrog Lakes trail, which we would take to get into town. On the trail, we climbed over Kearsarge pass and down to the Onion Valley trailhead. Once we got to the trailhead, we met Audrey who had been hiking the trail. Audrey was kind enough to offer us a ride. She was great company and extremely knowledgeable about hiking . She drove us around to pick up our resupply packages. She also drove us to a better town to stay for our days off. She gave great food recommendations too! We were able to eat like crazy! We are so thankful we met her. Once again, I am amazed by the kindness of strangers. It is so inspiring! Audrey is even going to take us back to the trail when we leave. I wish she could come with us : )
