Today was the hottest and humidest day on the trail. It was like the desert but with another level of uncomfortableness. The middle of the day was mostly a 1500′ climb to Bucks Summit. On the other side there were great views of Silver Lake. At the end of the day, I decided to cowboy camp near the rim of the canyon that leads 4000′ down to the town of Belden. Belden has been over 100 degrees lately too, and I want to get the 5000′ climb started before it gets too insanely hot.
