Today was our third consecutive day in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. This has been one of my favorite areas on the trail. It has all of the beauty and ruggedness of the Sierras but with so many less people. Throughout the day, we passed Deep Lake and Deception Lake and we could see Glacier Peak in the distance. At least I think it was Glacier Peak according to the road map I was carrying. We met Me Too who had been using a piece of bark to hold in a hernia since Kennedy Meadows. We also met all of Coppertone. I will not explain that any further. At the end of the day, we camped at Mig Lake with Fig Jam. From our campsite, we are exactly 200 miles from Manning Park, British Columbia!
